I bought $5 to unlock the hobby plan exactly a month ago on October 27
I'm on the hobby plan. I have just 4 NodeJS personal projects running on 0.5GB and 0.5cpu.
Today Railway tried to debit me $7.
How exactly did my $5 included usage + $5 to unlock the plan run out.
And how did my new bill come out to 7 fucking dollars.
This was never the case.
I've been using Railway for more than a year
I bought $10 in usage credits in August 2024. That lasted me literally a year. And I had wayy more projects running then.
I had to buy more credits this year in August.
Since then I've been paying $5 every month. That's a shit-ton.
I'm a Nigerian student. Converting from naira to dollar every month to pay for subscriptions is a migraine.
Is there an error with the billing? Or did Railway suddenly change their billing model?

Hey, Railway's billing model for the hobby plan is $5 a month, which includes $5 worth of usage for that month. Usage beyond the included $5 will be billed accordingly. You only pay for the subscription if your usage is below $5 as it will be covered by the included usage in this case.

This is impossible, unless you were on a very old legacy hobby plan that had a different billing model.
