Hello! I started the free plan and still have over $3 of credits. Isnt this plan supposed to get $1 free a month, and with those credits I would have $4 - yet my plan has been paused even though I have credits.
Why do I need to upgrade if I still have credits and will continue to get $1 a month? Please help!

Your $3.98 balance is leftover credit from the one-time $5 trial grant, not from the Free plan. The trial lasts up to 30 days, and once it expires, your subscription becomes inactive and services are paused, regardless of remaining trial credit. The Free plan's $1/month is a separate, non-rolling monthly allowance that requires an active subscription. To get back up and running, you can resubscribe to the Free plan or upgrade to Hobby from your billing settings. If you upgrade to Hobby, your remaining trial credits will carry over.

I do not have the option to resubscribe to the free plan, and you are saying if I do, I would lose those credits? My bot costed $1.11 to run last month, the $5 hobby plan is overkill for my needs. How do I continue the free plan?

You should be able to subscribe to the free plan at https://railway.com/workspace/plans.
If you exceed $1 worth of usage during your free plan, all your services will automatically be stopped until next month when you get the $1.
