Hello, I purchased the hobby plan on January 27, 2026, and I’m interested in upgrading to the pro plan. Could you please provide information on the process of switching between the plans? Additionally, I’d like to know if my initial payment will be refunded based on my current usage.

You can upgrade from Hobby to Pro anytime from the Plan section in the Railway dashboard (https://railway.com/workspace/plans)
Your remaining credits from current subscription will be adjusted in your billing.

I have upgraded the plan, I was charged $11 change. Not sure how the billing is working here.

Great,
Railway doesnt refund the original Hobby payment back to your card. Instead, the unused portion of your current plan is prorated and applied as a credit when you switch to Pro, and you’re charged only for the difference for the rest of the billing period.
Regarding why its $11, that could be because you would have some pending credits if you signed up recently?
