Subject: How to Enable Deployment on Hobby Plan

Hi Railway Support Team,

I am currently on the Hobby Plan and I registered my account via GitHub. I have added a collaborator to my GitHub repository, and I want to be able to deploy my project to production on Railway.

However, I cannot see the Deploy button anywhere in my project or services. I am unsure what steps I need to take to be able to deploy, including:

  1. How to properly connect my GitHub repository to Railway for deployment

  2. How to enable deployment on a service

  3. Whether there are limitations on the Hobby Plan that prevent deployment

  4. Any recommended workflow for a developer pushing code to GitHub while I remain the Owner

Could you please guide me step by step on how to enable deployment for my project under the Hobby Plan?

Subject: Deployment permissions / Admin role on Hobby Plan

Hi Railway Support Team,

I have a project on the Hobby Plan, registered via GitHub, and I have a collaborator working on the code in GitHub.

I would like to know:

  1. How can I enable deployment for my project so that I, as Owner, can deploy updates?

  2. Is there a way to give a collaborator Admin or deploy permissions without transferring full project ownership?

  3. If not, what is the recommended workflow to allow a developer to push code and have it deployed safely while I remain the Owner?

Essentially, I want my collaborator to be able to contribute and have deployments happen, without giving them full Owner rights, because that would give full control over billing, project deletion, and environment variables.

After setting up the deployment, you can "Invite member" under settings (upper right corner). This does not give them full owner rights.
