I'm planning on publishing a template and want to include my referral code on the Deploy button. I have a few questions regarding this:
- If a new user signs up via my template's deploy button with my referral code, do I receive both the 15% referral commission and the template kickback?
- What is the exact query parameter for a referral on a template link?
- Do template kickbacks apply to usage covered by the plan's credit ($5 for Hobby), or only to usage above it?

- Referrals and kickbacks are different programs. For referrals, you'll receive 15% commission on their first 12 months of invoices. For kickbacks, you'll receive 15% of the usage cost of the template's services. (https://docs.railway.com/templates/kickbacks)
- Example:
https://railway.com?referralCode=<CODE>where<CODE>is your unique referral code. (https://docs.railway.com/community/affiliate-program) - IIRC it's just 15% of the service's usage cost.

We checked our documentation and it does not cover this yet, so the Railway community is the best place to get a real answer: people who have already worked this out on their own projects and can tell you what actually worked.

Both only if they subscribe to a plan. Otherwise, just the template.

I see. Let's say they subscribe to a plan and use my template, is there a format for my Deploy on Railway link that would include both referral and the template link?
