why payment method dude i won't add card because its a trial account there is 30days free so why should i add payment method clear me

Same. And when we put in the payment info it still won't recognize it.

Just my two cents as another Railway user, but I’d assume it’s mainly about validating that you’re a real user and preventing abuse. They’re giving you access to actual infrastructure/compute, so without some form of verification it’d be incredibly easy for bots or people to just keep creating free accounts and abusing the service.

Requiring a payment method is a pretty standard way of putting a bit of friction in front of that. The trial can still be free — the card is more about verification than payment.

Based on another thread, Railway can do this for any reason they see fit and not give you a real answer. If their bot decides your Github Repo doesn't fit some undefined scope they will apply this yellow banner forcing you to add a payment method. They make it sound like a security protection but funny enough, if you upgrade to a subscription that concern just vanishes!
