I built URLDN to go beyond traditional URL shorteners. Instead of only making links shorter, URLDN combines short links, click tracking, QR codes, custom domains, campaign analytics, and AI-powered insights.

URLDN

Why I Built It

I wanted a simple way to answer questions like:

  • Which links get the most clicks?
  • Which campaigns perform best?
  • Where are visitors coming from?
  • What devices are they using?

URLDN turns these clicks into actionable analytics.

Built on Railway

The core architecture uses Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Railway:

Railway makes it easy to deploy and iterate while I focus on building the product.

Key Features

  • Short links and branded URLs
  • Click analytics
  • QR codes
  • Custom domains
  • Campaign tracking
  • Link management
  • AI-powered analytics

One of the biggest challenges has been collecting useful click data while keeping redirects fast and database queries efficient.

What's Next?

I'm continuing to improve URLDN with better analytics, integrations, AI insights, and reporting.

URLDN is currently being built in public.
