Ongoing Performance Issues on Production Service – Request for Explanation

Hello Railway team,

We'd like to report an issue that has become increasingly frustrating for us.

Our application is running in production on Railway and currently serves around 3,000 daily active users. Over the past few weeks, we've noticed that our services will suddenly become very slow without any apparent reason. There are no deployment changes, traffic spikes, or infrastructure changes on our side when this happens.

The most concerning part is that this issue occurs repeatedly. The application can be performing normally, and then suddenly response times increase significantly before eventually returning to normal again. This unpredictable behavior is affecting the experience of our users and making it difficult for us to trust the platform for production workloads.

We've monitored our application and have not found any obvious bottlenecks that would explain these sudden slowdowns. Because of this, we need Railway's help to understand what is happening behind the scenes.

Could you please help answer the following questions?

Are there currently any known platform performance or networking issues?

Is there any resource throttling, noisy-neighbor effect, or infrastructure event that could cause these sudden latency spikes?

Are there any logs or metrics on Railway's side that can explain why our service suddenly becomes slow?

Is there anything in our deployment configuration that you recommend checking or changing?

We understand that cloud platforms can occasionally experience issues, but since this has become a recurring problem on a production service, we would appreciate a clear explanation of the root cause and any recommendations to prevent it from happening again.

We rely on Railway for a production application, and our users expect consistent performance. We hope Railway can provide more transparency into these recurring slowdowns and help us identify the underlying cause.

The same is happening to me.

I host applications for four clients on the platform, and over the past two weeks I've been receiving frequent reports that they are experiencing this issue intermittently.

I genuinely like the platform and have been happy with it overall, but if this continues to be an ongoing problem, I'll need to start evaluating alternative hosting options to ensure reliability for my clients.
