Pro plan — how to set usage alerts and avoid overage?

Hi,

I’m on the Pro plan and already know where to set usage limits. I’m not sure what values to use.

I want to:

stay within the $20 included usage (avoid overage)

get warned before hitting the limit

keep production services running as much as possible

What do you recommend for:

Compute email alert ($?)

Compute hard limit ($?)

Agent hard limit ($?) — I [do / don’t] use Railway Agent

Replica limits per service (CPU/RAM) for a typical API + frontend + DB setup

I don't know what your "typical" is, so I can't really recommend values for CPU/RAM.

If you want to avoid using over $20, I'd set an email alert at 15 and a hard limit at 20. Keep in mind that this will shut down all active services if you end up hitting $20 worth of usage.

If you don't use the agent, you can just leave it alone.
