Previously, if you signed up for Railway using your GitHub account, you were locked into using only that account and couldn't link your GitHub to any other Railway accounts.
Unfortunately this created a major inconvenience — if you wanted to bring Railway to work (BTW you can get paid for it), you couldn’t connect your GitHub account to your work-related Railway account. Fortunately, that limitation is now lifted. You can now connect your GitHub account to multiple Railway accounts.
Here's how it works: the Railway account you initially sign up with via GitHub will retain GitHub as the primary login method. Any other Railway accounts that you connect your GitHub to will not use GitHub for login but they can access GitHub-related content (like repositories) where authorized.

How is this done? I haven't been able to connect my gh to other railway accounts, clicking the connect gh button just logs me into the github-based one

To connect your GitHub to a second Railway account, you need to first log into that second account using its own login method (email or Google, not GitHub). Once you're logged into that account, go to Account Settings and connect GitHub from there. If clicking "connect GitHub" is logging you into your GitHub-based account, it means your browser session is being redirected to the account that originally signed up with GitHub. Log out first, sign into the other account with its own credentials, then link GitHub.

I've tried logging out, deleting cookies - I even tried deleting the original github account but nothing is preventing it. When I click Connect on github it actually creates a brand new account if I don't have one instead of linking my currently logged in account.
