HTTPS record instead of CNAME on Godaddy

I am trying to add custom root domain registered on Godaddy.
Instruction tells me to create CNAME record with name = @ for provided railway url.
Godaddy does not accept @ for CNAME, but it support to create HTTPS record with name=@ and railway url.
As far as I understand, HTTPS is modern way to redirect @ to railway url. Please, add support for HTTPS along with CNAME.
Workaround with Cloudflare is nice, but it is not user friendly.
