Log selection very, very difficult on Chrome -- could it be improved please?

Hello. I wonder if I may may a feature or bugfix request please: I'd really, really, like to be able to mouse-down-and-drag to select inside logs reliably.

Using latest Chrome on latest macOS, if you have a long set of logs (say, five screen pages) it can be very difficult to extract a set of them. Mouse down (be careful not to accidentally click, because that opens a window with just that log entry), and drag. It will scroll as selection changes. Sometimes unknown to you, offscreen, some of the selection will be lost. If you are lucky you will spot this when you paste.

I feel logs should be treated more like text, but they seem fancy HTML elements with spiffy behaviour, like more info on a single log line. Maybe some of that spiffiness could be moved to buttons on the side of each log line, and the log lines themselves be more easily selectable, please? I truly just want to click and drag, like you would in any text editor or normal webpage.

I suspect there are two separate use cases here:

  1. Rare logs, where a single log line is important on its own and others are irrelevant. This is where clicking one to see more info makes sense, and where selection issues for several are not important. You may not even be expected to select at all (I have wondered this from the mouse interactions)
  2. Logging as debugging: you get hundreds of lines, and often they're all related, and you need to get a bunch of them at once. I don't think the UI is optimised for this use of logs at all.

Thankyou very much for your consideration here 🙂

(Btw, I mentioned latest Chrome and latest macOS just to confirm, but this has been the case for a long time - I've used Railway for quite a while with a different account. I recall once I started using verbose logs in my deployments, difficulty was always there. Ie, I don't think this is newly introduced; I interpret it just as that the log viewer has never been optimised for selecting lines. That's why I think it's a use case / expectations mismatch issue. Cheers!)

Or what I really want is just a way to select a range: from here (click) to (scroll) here (click) and copy.
