Now it took > 30 minutes to deploy a Rails app successfully, which is way too long.

Rails apps are pretty heavy but should take between 2 and 5 minutes usually
Can you attempt again? You might have just hit it at a bad time (we've been having a lot of traffic recently)

Jake Cooper: Hey Jake! I’ve tried it twice in a different week, and it’s the same. Initially I didn’t hit this kind of problem, but now it seems more often.

NixPacks solves this! We also have much better out of the box Rails support than what we used to have around a year ago.
