MySQL High Availability

Standalone MySQL on Railway has no replication or automatic failover — if the node goes down, your database is down until it recovers.

We're adding single-click high availability for MySQL, bringing it to parity with our Postgres and Redis HA offerings. You'll get a 3-node cluster with automatic failover, a single stable connection string that follows failover without any client reconfiguration, and the ability to convert an existing standalone MySQL to HA (and back) without losing data. Let us know if there are specific MySQL HA features you'd like to see!

This is now available in Priority Boarding! If you'd like early access, you can enable it from your project settings. Would love to hear your feedback.
