Hi Railway Team,
I am writing to ask the team to reconsider the decision regarding a deployment region in South America/Brazil. I know this request was previously closed due to compliance and local legal risks that Railway wasn't ready to manage at the time.
However, the developer landscape and Railway's own infrastructure have changed significantly since then. The Brazilian developer community represents a massive, highly active share of your global user base. Right now, thousands of Brazilian software products, production APIs, and active databases are forced to run on US-East or US-West, dealing with a constant network bottleneck of 120ms to 200ms per request.
Since the team previously mentioned that a Brazil region would likely happen through a "partnership with an existing presence or via another cloud provider rather than managed Railway Metal", we would love to know if this is now a viable path.
Reopening this possibility would prevent a growing number of South American developers from reluctantly migrating to regional PaaS alternatives or traditional clouds solely because of the ping. Even a proxy/routing solution or a limited compute-only region in São Paulo would completely transform the user experience for tens of thousands of applications.
We love the platform and the developer experience you built. Please consider adding a South American partner-node to your roadmap.
