User Invite Experience

This post is part of Railway's 2024 product roadmap kickoff, the Railway team spends the first week every three months sharing our thought process and concepts of what we plan to build.

A lot of you have been bringing in people to your Pro workspaces, and your projects. Inviting users on Railway isn't the best experience, notably, what is happening is there is tremendous user confusion when a user who didn't learn about Railway from the usual entry points.

We are looking into:

  • Tracking Pro invites better, allowing people to cancel sending the invite

  • Working on better, progressive, disclosure on how best to use Railway within the product

  • Cleaning up the adoption emails we send when a new user joins Railway so it's more contextual.
