UX inconsistency in service settings

Hi!

  • When toggling the "New Builder Environment" I get an overlay "Apply 1 change, Deploy" some kind of "save" button, cool, make sense.

  • When toggling the "Edge Proxy" it happens instantly and at first I thought it wasn't working and was a bug.

Would be nice to use the same behavior on these toggling mechanisms

Cheers

As the toggle directly updates DNS under the hood I think it's fine as just a toggle.

Also please keep in mind that the toggle switch is temporary and eventually the edge proxy and all other v2 related stuff will become the default with no option to switch back to legacy.

Yes and no. Sure it's temporary, but "Enable check suites" and "Enable App Sleeping" are not and they follow the same pattern of "apply change".

Just saying, consistency is key so users are not lost. When you teach users that in 90% of the cases it will produce this result, it's a confusing than for one case it will do something different.

Fair enough, transition periods are always awkward, so it would seem that the switch without staged changes made more sense from a technical standpoint to implement.
