This could be helpful to support multi-tenant applications where each tenant would get their own domain names under *.example.com like tenant1.example.com, tenant2.example.com and so on..
Current solution is manually adding each of these subdomain names.

Due to current limitations of DNS (We'd need to do a DNS challenge which requires authentication for various providers) we don't have a good proposed solution for this
With the planned API, we've taken in a requirement to allow users to create domains (custom or static) via the API which should cover this

Jake Cooper: This isn’t a “limitation of DNS” and plenty of platforms support this. Have a look at Render and Vercel.

Ash Connell: It is if we aren’t hosting our own nameservers, which at this time we’re not planning on doing

I feel like this feature bumped through a lot of statuses. We have some network upgrades coming that could make this feasible. Changing back to under review. You should hear back in a month or so if this gets solidly picked up.
