I’m reaching out because I’m currently stuck trying to upgrade my account. I’ve been using Railway over the past month on a free trial to build out my project and love the platform, but my trial is running out and I can’t subscribe to any of the paid plans.
Every time I try to add my Wise Visa debit card, it gets rejected.
A few points I’d like to highlight and ask about:
Wise Acceptance: Wise accounts require full KYC/identity verification to open, and standard payment processing works fine across major platforms (Netflix, OpenAI, Amazon, Google) as well as similar fintechs like Revolut (which Railway seems to accept without issue). Blocking Wise outright cuts off millions of legitimate users and developers who rely on it for international online payments.
Alternative Options / Annual Plans: If recurring monthly billing against Wise prepaid/debit rails is the core issue (e.g., automated chargebacks or fraud filters), would you consider offering an annual subscription plan or standard prepaid credit top-ups? I would gladly pay upfront for a yearly plan today just to keep my services running without interruption.
Could you please look into why Wise is being restricted on my account?
Thanks

Unfortunately, we don't support certain types of prepaid cards for fraud & abuse reasons. Please use a bank-issued credit or debit card.
Sorry we're unable to help you out further here.

Ah, the classic bot wall. "We don't want your money because our automated risk filter is stuck in 2015."
Wise provides standard bank accounts with personal IBANs and direct account details, it’s not a anonymous burner prepaid card.
Wise is not a gift card; every user goes through full KYC identity verification just like a traditional bank. Calling it a high-risk prepaid card is just lazy payment routing.
If you don't support modern digital banking rails or offer alternative upfront billing options (like annual plans), you're just forcing users to take their hosted projects elsewhere.
Can you please escalate this ticket to a human support agent who can review this manually?

Same with my Wise card which is accepted everywhere - Netflix, ChatGpt, etc. Sucks
