Hello,
I am writting this from my hobby workspace, but I also have a pro workspace in my account. The pro workspace named 'raverclub.com' is for a client of mine.
This workspace is getting billed every 21-22 days and not on a monthly basis. I did some research to find out if the duration of the plan I signed up for was in fact 3 weeks and I somehow missed it. But no, Railway has explicitly mentioned in many places that the plan cycles are monthly.
Am I missing something here or is this a bug from Railway?
My client demands an explanation and I have none.
Any information regarding this issue would be appreciated.

Hey!
Our billing cycle is indeed monthly, but we may charge you earlier in the billing cycle if you cross a certain amount of usage.

Hey again!
I have reopened this thread because I have been charged early again. This time for a shorter period than last time.
2-week period this time. Even though this period's usage is roughly the same as the period before it, my project's billing period is 2 weeks now!
In our last conversation, you mentioned that we'd be charged earlier in the cycle after a certain amount of usage. And also, the link to the article.
In the article you pointed me to, it's been said:
"Railway has an automated system in place which can result in a partial amount of your bill being charged to your payment method, earlier in the billing cycle."
However, there is no additional information on how this "Automated system in place" works and calculates the usage.
Please understand that I'm a developer too. And this project, my first experience on Railway, belongs to a client of mine.
When something unordinary like this happens, I must have an explanation to give. While how this happens and why the periods are getting shorter and shorter, the article doesn't provide any actual information.
I must say, Railway has really grown on me ever since I discovered it. But this lack of clarification on this issue, makes the dev/client relationship really difficult.
If you could provide me with some solid info on this topic, I'd really appreciate it.

I apologize for the friction here.
I have lifted that restriction from your client's account. The billing period after this will return to a monthly cycle. Please let us know if not.
However, there is no additional information on how this "Automated system in place" works and calculates the usage.
We intentionally do not document the behaviour of these systems to prevent workarounds. Sorry it's a bit of a black box - that is by design and intended to deter bad actors from abusing our platform. Legit customers (like yourself) sometimes get caught in the crossfire regrettably. We should definitely look into how we can make it clearer that you might get billed for a partial amount, and notify when that happens - thank you for raising this!

Thanks Ray. If it happens again I will let you know.
Also, thanks for your Meilisearch template. I'm a user ;)
