Hello,
I received a charge attempt for $25.02, but I do not understand why the bill is this high.
My current Railway Hobby usage for the new billing period is very low, and most of the cost appears to come from memory usage. I would like to understand exactly what generated the previous $25.02 invoice.
Could you please provide a detailed breakdown of this invoice by:
project
service
memory usage
CPU usage
volume/database usage
egress
any other charges
I currently have several projects deployed, but some of them are not actively being used. I also want to reduce my future Railway costs and keep only the necessary production services running.
Please also clarify:
Which projects/services contributed most to the $25.02 invoice?
Whether stopped/removed deployments stop RAM and CPU billing.
Whether databases and persistent volumes continue to generate charges after an application deployment is stopped.
What is the safest way to temporarily stop unused services without deleting their configuration or data?
The payment attempt for $25.02 was unsuccessful and my workspace currently shows Past Due.
Thank you.

Your invoice 2RDWGEME-0004 covers Jul 31 - Aug 31, 2026:
Hobby plan: $5.00
Memory: $23.15
vCPU: $0.72
Disk: $0.76
Network: $0.30
Agent Usage: $0.09
────────────────────────
Subtotal: $30.02
Included usage: -$5.00
────────────────────────
Total due: $25.02Memory is the dominant cost at $23.15, roughly double last month's $10.58. Stopping a service's deployment stops CPU and memory billing, but volumes and databases continue to incur storage charges even when the attached service is stopped because the data is still stored. To end storage charges you would need to delete the volume, which deletes the data. The safest way to reduce costs without losing configuration is to stop deployments on unused services from each service's settings.
Your workspace is past due because the payment on card ending 0933 was declined for insufficient funds. On the Hobby plan you have a 3-day grace period before services are stopped. You can update your payment method at railway.com/workspace/billing.
You can set up usage alerts, limits, and view per-service costs at railway.com/workspace/usage.
