Don't get me wrong on this, I love Railway and it gets better on every changelog, but this issue exists since I joined Railway in mid 2022 and it was already been reported on the feedback channel (and by alot of people on the general channel) the same goes for the shifting "Dashboard" button on the main page that even team members mentioned, this getting some traction AFTER a Twitter post seems like a PR stunt and makes me question how Railway "does things", I guess instead of using the feedback channel I may start posting on twitter as well?

And now complementing the issue, if u stay on the project page long enough it also 404s.

I have to agree with medim, this is also not the first time an issue that was mentioned long ago in the #feedback channel has gotten instant traction when mentioned publicly on Twitter/X.

the way Railway does things

The way we do things is by taking in feedback, and once it’s evident multiple people are experiencing it, triaging correctly

This is one of the “chief issues” of the feedback channel and why we made the forums. We need to aggregate the issues together, so we can see it’s an issue for X people

It also helps that someone was able to pick out “What the core issue is”

Not just “It 404’s sometimes” (which we’ve indeed seen) but “Here’s WHY it 404s”. That makes it much easier for us to test/fix

I also looked on here and there isn’t a thread for “404 Flash”, hence why I created a new one

When you say it happens on the dashboard, do you mean the /dashboard page where the projects are listed? Or the project/service page

The project/service page, open a service, throttle the connection, disable cache, and refresh.

Regarding this changelog https://railway.app/changelog/2024-06-14-nyoooom which states "A cause of intermittent Dashboard 404s have been eliminated."

I personally still experience it every time I come back to the dashboard the next day from my previous visit. A simple page refresh fix it, and it shows the dashboard successfully again
