About docker images. A summary list

I made my research about the current state of railway for deploying docker images as of May 4th, 2025.

  1. Starting from the pro plan and above, you are able to deploy from private registers.

  2. You can just deploy from github repositories. If you have your project repository in gitlab, mirror it to github.

  3. From github you are able to build docker images. You can point in your service settings to the path of a docker file in your repostory and let railway build it into an image and then deploy it for you. This is allowed in any tier plan.

This thread is not an issue, just a compilation of what I found in the docs and in the help channel. It would be nice if someone gives his approval on its content.

I pretend to extend this, but idk if this is the right place, so, to any admin, feel free to mark this thread as closed.

you mean, by adding a new section as a summary or by complementing the missing parts on their current sections?
