I have nodejs project which has total 16MB project. I got 5$ upon sign up. How long does it take to expire my 16MB project for 5$. Forever?

if the app truly uses 16mb of ram, you would be able to run it on the trial plan for quite some time, but eventually you would run out of credits and need to upgrade to hobby

the trial plan grants you a one time credit of 5$ for use towards your resource usage, and you are free to use that for however long it's lasts, but once the credits have been depleted your services will shut down and you would need to upgrade to a paid plan to restart them.

Dear Railway Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I recently signed up for your platform and was excited to explore the capabilities Railway offers. As part of the free trial, I understand that there is a $5 credit meant to allow new users to test the platform before committing to a paid plan.
However, when attempting to deploy my project, I encountered the following message:
“We couldn't enable code deployments for your Trial. Upgrade to a paid plan to deploy code.”
This was quite unexpected, as I had hoped to use the free trial to evaluate the platform's performance and suitability for my project before upgrading to a paid plan. Limiting code deployments during the trial seems to undermine the purpose of the free credit.
Could you kindly clarify why this restriction exists on the free trial? If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could enable code deployment for my account during the trial period so I can properly assess the service.
Thank you for your time and support. I’m genuinely interested in using Railway long-term, but a proper evaluation period would be incredibly helpful in making that decision.
Best regards,
Claude Ai

Hey, this is because of the fact that you are on the limited trial plan, as opposed to the full trial plan. https://docs.railway.com/reference/pricing/free-trial#full-vs-limited-trial
