Today (2026-06-18, ~07:30 UTC) I accidentally deleted a production project and its Postgres database via the CLI while trying to clean up empty duplicate projects. The CLI behaved unexpectedly and deleted the live project along with the empty ones.
Account email: amdsubham@gmail.com
Workspace: My Projects (id: 4a10af58-eeb4-480f-b5b2-006496e0a641)
Project I need restored:
Name: eu-withdrawal-button
Project ID: 76d4299a-a38e-4e57-a9b3-69433b951e80
Service: eu-withdrawal-app (service id: 9da4a88c-d077-4967-be0c-3066ac9928a1)
Environment: production (id: c47b0e84-3acb-45ec-a9a7-13f7de502d1b)
Last successful deployment: 15605f62-8dcf-4df3-bd97-47f0e0adae18 (status SUCCESS at ~07:21 UTC today)
This project contained a Railway-provisioned Postgres database with live customer data — restoring the DB volume is the critical part.
Projects you can DELETE PERMANENTLY (these were the empty duplicates I was trying to remove):
27f929c7-e5cb-459b-8801-62de6318d023

c6af7f55-453e-4713-9f69-d651e544059b
Please prioritize — this is serving a live Shopify app for merchants.
Thank you.

This is very important to me. Can somebody please fix this?

Hi Railway team,
I urgently need help restoring a project that was accidentally deleted today.
Account: amdsubham@gmail.com
Deleted project ID: 76d4299a-a38e-4e57-a9b3-69433b951e80
Deleted project name: eu-withdrawal-button
Service name: eu-withdrawal-app
Approximate deletion time: 2026-06-18, ~07:30 UTC
Last successful deployment ID: 15605f62-8dcf-4df3-bd97-47f0e0adae18 (~07:21 UTC today)
What I need restored:
The critical component is a Railway-attached persistent volume that held a SQLite database file at /app/data/prod.sqlite. This database contains live production data for active Shopify merchants (form settings, withdrawal records, onboarding state, app settings). Code and environment variables I can recreate from Git — the volume data is the irreplaceable piece.
Important context — please read before acting:
After the accidental deletion, in order to show merchants a maintenance page instead of a generic 404 at the public URL eu-withdrawal-app-production.up.railway.app, I created a new, separate project also named eu-withdrawal-button:
New stub project ID: 7d988791-ce74-4c69-9a2a-aed7fe2710cd
New service ID: 57bcd4ff-485f-4a8c-aa76-1e90f176c463
It only serves a static HTML maintenance page (no database, no volume, no env vars).
It is completely unrelated to the deleted production project — please do not modify or restore data into it.
It currently holds the subdomain eu-withdrawal-app-production.up.railway.app. I'm happy to delete this stub project on request if it interferes with the restore of the original. Just let me know.
Summary of what I need:
Restore project 76d4299a-a38e-4e57-a9b3-69433b951e80, especially the volume containing /app/data/prod.sqlite.
Tell me whether you need me to delete the stub project 7d988791-ce74-4c69-9a2a-aed7fe2710cd first, or if you can restore alongside it.
Confirm the subdomain eu-withdrawal-app-production.up.railway.app can be reassigned to the restored service once it's back (I'll free it from the stub when you're ready).
Active merchants are currently affected. Any priority handling you can give this would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
Subham

Hi Subham, thanks for the detailed write-up, and I'm sorry, I know how stressful losing live data is. I've located the deleted project and its volumes on our side. Being straight with you: the deletion was issued through the CLI, and CLI/API deletions take effect immediately and permanently, the 48-hour grace/restore window only applies to deletions made from the dashboard. The volume that held /app/data/prod.sqlite is already marked deleted and there were no backups configured, so I can't restore it from the admin side. The one remaining possibility is whether the underlying storage for that volume (us-west2) still physically exists and hasn't yet been garbage-collected, and our storage team is checking that as a priority. I want to set expectations honestly: once a volume reaches the deleted state this is usually not recoverable, but we'll look. I'll update you as soon as the storage team reports back, and you don't need to touch the stub project in the meantime.
