Account information lost

Hi

I had issues logging in with email (spam rate limit) and eventually used google sign in to authenticate.

This for some reason saw my account as a new account and I lost my current project.

Now when i try to login using email, it still points to this "new" account, what to do now?

My credit card is connected to it and I do not want to be billed twice.

What do you see when you log in? I checked the account linked here and it appears to be normal? Previously did you log in with email or google here?

Hi Noahd, I always logged in with just email.

Then 2 days ago I had this issue seen in the image.

I then tried using "continue with google" and it worked, but everything was gone.

It turned into a trial account, I had to add credit card again to turn it into Hobby again.

I tried setting up my project again but for example, I can not use our custom domain api.bredero.com to host the backend instance on anymore because it is taken. So this confirms that the account still exists somewhere.

We confirmed that api.bredero.com is currently attached to a different Railway account, which is why it shows "Not available" on your new one. To release it, please publish a TXT record at _railway.verify.api.bredero.com with the value v8mx3rq2kp, then reply here once it has propagated. We can remove the domain from the other account after verifying ownership. Regarding the original account and project access, if you previously logged in with a different email address than your Gmail, try signing in with that email directly to reach your old workspace.

I have added the TXT verification record.

The record should be:

Type: TXT

Host/Name: _railway.verify.api.bredero.com

Value: v8mx3rq2kp

Regarding the account issue: we have always used brederoadvies@gmail.com to log in, normally with the regular “login with email” method. A few days ago we had issues logging in, so we used “Sign in with Google” using the same email address. After that, Railway seemed to treat it as a new/different account, and our existing project/workspace was no longer visible.

So from our side, it should be the same email address, only a different login method.

Can you please help restore access to the original workspace/account linked to brederoadvies@gmail.com? Our credit card is also connected to that original account, so simply releasing the domain is not enough; we still need access to the original account and project.

If the domain is attached to a different email/account than brederoadvies@gmail.com, are you allowed to tell us which email/account it is attached to, or guide us through the recovery process?

We verified the TXT record and have removed api.bredero.com from the other account. You can add it to your service now. Regarding the original account, the domain was attached to an account registered under a different email address than brederoadvies@gmail.com, so that original workspace was not created with your Gmail. We are not able to share the details of other accounts, but we would suggest checking with others in your organization who may have set up the original Railway project using a different email. We also are not able to merge or transfer projects between accounts.
