Add Alias for my domain

Hi,

https://www.makedoppel.com this domain is working fine but https://makedoppel.com is not working. In our DNS we have CNAME record for the Alias as well. Please allow it from your side so it will also point to the website.

Try removing and readding both @ and www records from your DNS provider and on Railway.

If www.makedoppel.com works but makedoppel.com doesn’t, the root domain isn’t configured correctly.

A CNAME for www does not automatically cover the root. The root has to be added separately in Railway and properly pointed in DNS.

Please check:

  1. That makedoppel.com is added as its own custom domain in Railway (not just www).

  2. That the root domain is pointing to your Railway service using a record type your DNS provider supports (Cloudflare works because it supports CNAME flattening at the root).

  3. If you’re using Cloudflare, make sure the root is set to DNS only during validation.

If your DNS provider doesn’t properly support apex CNAME, the easiest fix is to move DNS to Cloudflare. Railway supports automatic updation of the values with Cloudfare

Once the root is added correctly and validated, it will work the same way as www.
