I just upgraded to a Team plan and added a user who commits to our GitHub repo. The user has two emails in GitHub, their primary email is a personal email and the secondary email is a work email. I've confirmed that their commits are attributed to the work email via git log.
Each time they push a commit I'm still seeing a notice in Railway that the commit is from an "external contributor" and I have to manually approve it, even though that email is a member of the team. Does Railway use the commit author's email address for checking deploy permissions or is it something else?

do they have their GitHub linked to their Railway account?
no, they have a personal railway account which is linked to the github account, so they can't link both. should I invite the personal railway account and have them join our team (instead of a separate account)?

I can't comment on what you should do, that's more so for you to decide, but the issue here is that they do not have their GitHub account linked to the account that is a part of your team.
got it - I thought it was just checking the commit author email, good to know that a linked account is required. thank you!
