I just found out that I was not getting data from Strapi again. I decided to check what's going on and I saw that instead of asking me to login, I had to create an account again… Then, I was shocked to discover that all my database tables are gone. I did not authorize any deletion. I really need to retrieve the data on it. Please, any help will be appreciated.

When I checked the github connected to it, the last two logs were:
Deployment removed and
Deployment succeeded

hello, would you happen to have been running strapi in development mode on railway?

Yes. It's on development mode but the goal was to switch later. Just built the app but the client already sent out the link and we have data already…. Is development mode supposed to be the reason why the database will be down?

have you connected to the database with a tool like dbgate to confirm there is no data in the tables?

I don't understand how to go about that… Initially, there is a strapi app running and a database also running and connected. When I checked now, all the tables have been deleted and it's asking me to create a new one which is never supposed to be.

There's another app running on the same account and the data of that is secured and running well

strapi is only meant to be running in development mode locally, and production when in a production environment, see their faq - https://docs.strapi.io/dev-docs/faq

I'm really sorry to say but the data loss wasn't anything railway did and there's unfortunately nothing they can do here.

I do not understand that's what you meant by development mode. I am not running it locally. I am on the hobby plan in production.

strapi is not supposed to be ran in development mode anywhere other than locally, I'm sorry but there's nothing railway can do here.

It's not being run locally. I already deployed it to railway. The link was working and was returning data until the database stopped and recreated itself… All these are in production. I have another app running in production and it's working perfectly. I am just surprised how this was affected

you have previously stated that you where running strapi in development mode on railway, this is not something that should be done as it can and has caused data loss.

it is railway's policy that they can't restore data unless they are at fault, and in this case they aren't at fault, sorry
