I'm trying to invite a member to a project and their email is in the format of first.last@company.domain. The first.last is not accepted by the email input field.

As a workaround, you can use the "Invite by link" option in your project's Members settings to generate an invite link, then send that link directly to your team member. The invite link lets them join the project without needing to enter their email in the form.
