I was cut off immediately when my previous month expired, yet I saw a bill of $11.63. After paying it, a new bill of $16.30 appeared.
All my services were offline during the expiration period.
I’ve now paid, but the receipt is marked against a past period, even though I was cut off.
Does billing still accrue on downed accounts?
Furthermore, my account now shows “Trial expired / Free” even though I’ve been on the paid hobby plan and renewing for about 3 months now. Why is it still labeled as an expired free trial?
I need my clarity on this issues and my services back online.

Your $11.65 invoice (WB6FMDCI-0005) covers real usage from Jul 13-29, mostly memory at $16.10, before your services were stopped. That usage accrued while your services were still running during that billing window. The earlier invoice of $16.30 (WB6FMDCI-0004) failed due to insufficient funds on Jul 13, which triggered your subscription cancellation. Paying the later invoice settled that balance but did not reactivate your plan, which is why your account now shows "Trial expired / Free." You also still have the $16.30 invoice open. To continue using Railway, clear any remaining balance and resubscribe from your workspace's plans page.

The $5 Hobby fee is not a flat cap, it covers your first $5 of resource usage each month and anything above that is billed as overage. On invoice WB6FMDCI-0004, your actual resource usage totaled $11.30 (memory $6.17, Agent Usage $4.88, plus small vCPU/network/disk charges), and after subtracting the $5 included credit, $11.30 remained due, on top of the $5 plan fee. Invoice WB6FMDCI-0005 is the same structure with memory alone at $16.10. That first invoice (WB6FMDCI-0004) is still open and unpaid at $11.30 - once you clear it, you can resubscribe from your workspace's plans page to get your services back online. To reduce memory costs, you can set a usage hard limit from your workspace's usage settings to cap your spending each cycle.
