Billing Confusion

Hello, I am on a $5 Hobby Plan. Today my card declined due to some technical issue hence I had to manually charge the card. During this action I noticed that I've been billed $5 for many months now, even though my usage doesn't cross $2.

If my memory serves me right, earlier Railway used to discount the pricing. For example, if I used $3, I used to pay $3 and $2 would be carried over from remaining portion (with the max carry-over being $5). It doesn't seem to happen now.

Can someone let me know what changed or how can I get this back?

Hey there,

You are always billed for your plan, in this case, hobby, which is 5$, you then get 5$ credit to use in that month.

Even if your usage is lower than that, you will always be billed for your plan, which has a minimum requirement of 5$.

If your usage goes above 5$, you will be billed for the difference. For example, if your usage is 7$, you will use your monthly 5$ credit that you already paid for + 2$.

(Adding on, unused credits will not get carried over to the next month)
