Blue/Green Deployment - Traffic To New Deployments Delayed

Hi Railway,

Today we did a deployment at around 8:12AM UTC, all of the services that are deployed showed that it's green and the ACTIVE deployment is the new deployment. However, traffic was not directed at the new deployment for around 1-2 minutes, during which we experienced downtimes. A log screenshot is attached with this post. Affected deployments are listed below:

Last night at around 6PM UTC we did a deployment and there were no issues like this.

Hey there,

Is there a Healthcheck configured on the service? Railway will have no idea on how to route the traffic post deployment until we see a 200 on the new deployment. More info: https://docs.railway.app/reference/healthchecks

You can also configure the Railway deployment overlap as well so that you can have more control over how traffic is routed from Blue to Green by setting this value: https://docs.railway.app/reference/variables#user-provided-configuration-variablesRAILWAY_DEPLOYMENT_OVERLAP_SECONDS
