My builds fail, only with "activity error". Also containers which are connected to the github repo, even tho the code in those containers hasn't changed. It must be a problem on railway side. Any assistance or ideas on how to debug?

Hey there Roobipro,
So it seemed like to be a momentary failure of our builder, I enabled the beta builder that should fix these issues moving forward on these issues by setting RAILWAYBETAENABLEBUILDV2=1. I only enabled it on a non core service.

Hello rc,
Thank you very much for pointing this out, I had large archived data stored in my repo, almost 5GB. I just removed those and now everything is working fine.
What would be the max. repo size without crashing the deployment?

Glad to hear you got it sorted! And yeah, we don't support large git repos. I'd generally recommend storing huge assets or artifacts outside your git tree.
What would be the max. repo size without crashing the deployment?
I believe this is 150MB currently.
