Please elaborate on how the database connection is waiting. Where are you trying to connect to the database from?

When I first attempted to connect, no connection was established.

• The connection from the IDE didn’t work.

• The connection from the code didn’t work.

• The connection within your system also failed (see attached image).

Now, I can retrieve data from the IDE, but adding a new column is never complete (see attached image). Additionally, the connection within your system still seems to be non-functional (see attached image).

Update:

After waiting several minutes, the ADD COLUMN command finally completed.

What could be causing it to run so slowly?

The database is still running very slowly. Adding a column to the DB takes several minutes.

Could you please provide assistance as soon as possible?

We are not experiencing performance issues that would explain what you're experiencing here.

Did you make any configuration changes to the database after you deployed it from the MySQL template?

Should I deploy the DB from time to time?

It shouldn't generally be necessary to redeploy the container. If you experience it becoming slow or unresponsive again, please let us know.
