I recently deployed the EMQX template. But I cannot connect to the service using MQTTX on port 1883. Everything uses the defaults. I tried the URL for the caddy and again for the docker container, both on ports 1883. Nothing seems to work.

Also, even the websocket client in the dashboard app refuses to connect. Am I missing something here? It's frustrating the hell out of me.

Are there additional setup steps? Please let me know.

Hello,
Looks like you are attempting to connect to the web dashboard instead of the emqx instance.
You can find the correct host and port in the emqx service settings under the networking section.

I've tried mqtt://caddy-production-f4c3.up.railway.app:1883 and mqtt://viaduct.proxy.rlwy.net:1883

You need to use the public port.

What is the public port? 1883?

That is the private port, you can find the public port in the emqx service settings under the networking section.

It works. Thank you! Can you make this more obvious in the documentation somewhere?
