Can't create a template from an existing working project

I've never attempted to create a template before, so maybe I'm missing something simple.

I have an existing working project with a NodeJS and MySQL service. Attempting to create a template generates the following error "Layout5 does not have a source that can be used to generate a template". Not sure if this matters, but I deploy the project from command line, so I'm not using a GitHub repo as the trigger for building. I have a private repo that I use for my own dev, I just don't use the automatic GitHub watcher for deployments.

Hello,

Yep that matters, services in templates cannot deploy from the CLI, just simply can't work that way.

You would instead want to manually construct the template with the template composer -
