tried both login and --browserless, browser says success, CLI comes back with unauthorized. Nothing else I can do

Do you see any error messages in either case? What operating system have you installed the CLI onto and what method did you use to install the CLI? Which web browser was used for the login process?
actually, I resolved it by using shell on my mac… seems to have been some kind of issue with Warp Terminal

Interesting, I assume you just used Terminal.app instead? This may be worth replicating and updating the CLI installation docs so other users can be made aware of this potential issue.
but it should run normal shell commands same as terminal.app so it is a wierd issue
