I was tasked with moving the GitHub source code for a website to a new account, as well as transferring all the related infrastructure, such as Railway.
I did the following:
Transferred the GitHub repository to a new owner.
Added a new user to the Railway project.
Transferred ownership of the Railway project to this user.
From the new user's Railway account, removed the old GitHub connection (it had stopped working anyway after I transferred the GitHub repository to another user).
Clicked "Connect Repo," logged in with the new user's GitHub account, and granted access.
However, I received the following error:
"Your Railway account is already linked to a different GitHub account (old owner name). Please sign in with that account instead."
So basically, after transferring both the repository and the Railway project, with all the necessary permissions granted to the new owner, I'm unable to connect them again.
How can I fix this?

You need to unlink whatever Railway account you have that’s linked to the Github account you’re trying to use.

Yeah, eventually it worked, but only in a particular order. Thank you!
- I removed the Railway App integration from the previous GitHub owner and revoked Railway's access.
- I removed the Railway App integration from the new GitHub owner and revoked Railway's access there as well.
- In the service settings, I clicked "Connect Repo" and granted access to the new GitHub repository.
- No errors occurred, and I was redirected to the Projects home page. However, no repositories appeared in the current service.
- So I clicked "New Project" and chose "Deploy from GitHub repo." At first, no repositories were listed, but there was a "Refresh" button. I clicked it, and the new repository appeared.
- After that, the repository also appeared in my existing project. I connected it and deployed successfully.
