Cannot add custom domain

Hi, I am facing issues trying to add my custom domain from NameCheap. I get a record not yet detected message but it has been more than a week now since I set it up. Everything looks good on both side of the spectrum both Railway and Namecheap. Even the deployment says it was successful and there is no apparent error messages in the logs: deploy, http, etc.

My custom domain also seems to be fine when you look it up https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#CNAME/www.employeesystem.cloud

I am wondering if anyone can help me ?

The cname record you linked isn't pointing to the railway domain in the app. That's why it isn't working

Hi Sarah, you might be seeing the old one, I was poking around moments ago. The old was 8bwh83yo.up.railway.app. The new one is kn6o7kxy.up.railway.app . You should be able to see the new one.

Can you try to reconnect the custom domain then, to ensure the dns is setup properly?

Hi Sarah, if check the link below, it is showing the employeeSystem.cloud being pointed to the new one now http://kn6o7kxy.up.railway.app/ as it should be. Link : https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#CNAME/

However, on Railway, it still shows record not yet detected.

You have to add the www. in the front. www.employeesystem.cloud

Something is misconfigured - I do not see a cname on the domain: https://dnschecker.org/all-dns-records-of-domain.php?query=employeesystem.cloud&rtype=ALL&dns=google

I am able to see it with the url you just provided if you select cname and google for the dns server.

It looks like you forgot to add the wwww on the front of employeesystem.cloud

I have deleted the custom domain in railway and created a new one with wwww in the custom domain field, i think that may be part of the issue.
