👋Newbie here
Dear Railway Team,

Today I've got your changelog update regarding “The Great Metal Migration” and would appreciate some clarification. As a current subscriber on the Hobby plan, I would like to understand:

  1. What exactly does the "Metal" infrastructure refer to in this context?

  2. Will this migration have any impact on my existing projects or volumes?

  3. Are there any recommended or required actions I should take as a result of this migration?

Thank you in advance for your assistance, and I look forward to your guidance on this matter.

Hey!
1. By "Metal" Railway is referring to its own underlying infrastructure! They previously used GCP (Google Cloud), you can read more about it here.

2. You may experience a brief service interruption, specially while migrating volumes! That's why Railway proactively recommends planning and migrating your workload.

3. The recommended action is to migrate when possible! Otherwise you will be migrated automatically and we don't want any issues that may occur catching you by surprise.

Do you need help migrating your services? I'll be happy to guide you through it.

Apologies for my sheer cluelessnes but these sleek minimalist interfaces tend to baffle dinosaurs like me. I'd actually love to migrate the project myself just for the sake of learning, but I honestly can't seem to find where to do it. If you could kindly point me in the right direction, I'd be incredibly grateful

In the settings for each service there is a dropdown for "Regions" with some marked as "Metal". If you choose one of those then the service will now be running on Metal.
