Connecting Github account just created a whole new separate account

Hello, I created an account with Railway using the email I wanted to use for my organization. Then I connected my Github account which has a different email. Instead of adding the Github account to the the account I had just created it just created a whole new account with a different email and login. This behavior is very weird. Why would I want two accounts? How do I delete one of the accounts and connect the Github account to the original account with a different email

Now If i click "connect Github account" in account settings it just logs me out of the current account and into the other account. This behavior is so janky and poorly designed..

so just to be clear, originally you linked the github account in https://railway.app/account under account integrations?

and I can't change the email of the Github account as it says the email belongs to another account!

I believe I clicked unlock full trial at first. Now when I click on github in account integrations it just takes me to the other account magically

Yes, just clicking on the Github integration and then it taking me to the other account? where should I send the video?

interesting, it looks like the second railway account has the github integration setup correctly, and there's even a project already in that account, so feel free to delete the first account!

What I was really trying to point out is that this should not be the default behavior. What is the point of creating an account with a specific email only for 'connect github account' to create a whole new account with no relation to the previous email? Then I'm stuck until I delete the original account and then change the email back to the original one in the settings of the github connected account? No other hosting provider does this.

I am experiencing the same. I have an account that I registered via email and moved to the Hobby plan and now when I attempt to use the "connect to GitHub" it logs me out of my email registered account and into a new "trial" for my github user (I have a different email address registered vs the one that is in my GitHub account). Any help would be appreciated since I'd really like to try railway out
