Dear Railway Support Team,
We are currently connecting from our web server to our MySQL server via Private Networking.
However, there is a connection delay of more than 2 seconds when connecting from our web server to the MySQL server. This issue did not occur before August 6th.
The tasks I performed on August 6th are as follows:
• Changed our subscription plan from the Hobby plan to the Pro plan, and transferred all existing projects to a team account.
• Enabled Static IPs for our servers and assigned fixed IP addresses.
To check if these changes affected the issue, I reverted the projects back to the personal account with the Hobby plan and disabled the Static IPs. However, the delay issue remains unresolved.
I would like to know the cause of this issue and the possible solutions.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
If you need further assistance or additional details, feel free to let me know!

After submitting this inquiry, I performed the following actions:
• Created a new MySQL instance.
• Copied all data from the existing MySQL server and connected it to the web server.
• No delay issue occurred.
In conclusion, it seems that something went wrong with the existing MySQL server after changing the plan. The problematic MySQL instance has not been deleted and remains as it is.
I would like to understand why this issue occurred.
If you need any more assistance, feel free to let me know!

Hi. It looks like the new MySQL is running the mysql:9 image whereas the older deploy was uses the mysql:8 image. Guessing that played a factor here. Glad you are unblocked at least

That’s correct.
We had been running our service without any issues using the original mysql:8 image, but then suddenly we started experiencing connection delay issues without any apparent reason.
After switching to a mysql:9 image, the delay issue was resolved. However, we are concerned that the same issue might occur with the mysql:9 image as well.
We would like to understand the cause of the connection delay issue that occurred with the previously stable mysql:8 image.

If you can provide timestamps when this occurred and link to the error lines that would be quite helpful in our investigation. Thanks.
