Corruption Issue with Postgres on My n8n Instance

Hello,

I am hosting an n8n instance on Railway, and my Postgres service is not starting correctly. The logs show the following error messages:
• “database system was interrupted while in recovery”
• “This probably means some data is corrupted and you will need to use the last backup”
• “database system is shut down”

It appears that the database is corrupted and unable to complete its recovery phase. I have attempted to restart and redeploy the service, but the issue persists, and unfortunately, I do not have any backups available.

I am really worried that I have lost all my data, including all my n8n workflows, and I have definitely learned my lesson. If a solution is found to repair or reset the database without losing all my data, I am willing to upgrade to the $20 plan.

Could you please advise if there is a procedure or any means to repair or reset the database without complete data loss, or suggest the best course of action in this situation?

Thank you in advance for your help.

looks like you just ran out of capacity at 500mb, you're on the hobby plan so you can grow it to 5GB from within the volume's settings -

@Brody Thank you so much !!!! I switched to 5GB and was able to reconnect to n8n, everything works. Does having 5GB instead of 500MB incur additional costs? I don't see anything more in the "Billing" section of my account. I have quite a few N8N workflows. Do you think it would be better to switch to a $20 per month plan or stay on the hobby plan? Is it "safe"?
Thanks a lot.

having the max at 5GB won't inherently increase costs, since you still only pay for the storage that's actually used.

As for switching to Pro, that would only be required if what you are doing is not considered Hobby or if you end up needing more than 5GB of space.

Yes, but no backup in the Hobby plan? Do you think I could crash a loose all my data from my database? or it's very unlikely?

crashing leading to data loss is unlikely, the more likely scenario would be accidental data deleting
