Hi! I want to deploy the backend of my web app on Railway using the Pro subscription. My frontend is hosted on a different server outside of Railway.
In my app, anywhere from 1 to 1000 users can interact, either synchronously or asynchronously. From what I’ve seen on the website, costs depend solely on CPU, RAM, and EGRESS usage.
I’m considering enabling vertical autoscaling to prevent service saturation. If additional CPU and RAM are added, is the cost still calculated per second of resource usage? How does the cost increase when CPU and RAM are doubled?
Could you provide guidance or any resources on this? Thank you very much.

Pricing does not change, usage is usage. You will be charged $10/gb/month for RAM and $15/vCPU/month for CPU. If you use 2vCPU at all times, that's $30/m. If you use 1 vCPU in two places, that's $30 a month.
