Critical Issue — PostgreSQL Fails to Start Due to No Disk Space Hello Railway Support,

I’m experiencing a critical issue with my PostgreSQL service hosted on Railway.

Here are the project details:

Project ID: eb432c9c-3d9a-438d-ad08-f4fc8391a1c7

Service ID: 15d8a7a4-e0b6-46bb-81d8-410d58cdfaf2

Environment ID: eec135b7-5485-49a6-888a-fede293adf06

Since May 15th, the PostgreSQL service has been stuck in a crash loop. According to the logs, the following error keeps appearing:

PANIC: could not write to file "pg_logical/replorigin_checkpoint.tmp": No space left on device

It looks like the container has completely run out of disk space, preventing PostgreSQL from completing recovery. I’m unable to access the shell to clean up files or perform a VACUUM.

Could you please:

Temporarily free up some disk space so I can take action

Or advise me on how to recover access to the database?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Solved

Hello,

I have grown the volume to 10GB for you.

Please note that this is a one time offer, next time you run out of volume space you will need to upgrade to Pro and stay on Pro for access to larger volumes.

Best,
Brody
