Hi,
I am trying out your cron feature and it seems to be working pretty well.
I created a demo project with a simple Python application that runs every 5 minutes. No issues there.
But I do not understand how pricing for cron jobs works.
My project does not show any logs. There's no Metrics available for my service. Project Usage page shows zeros everywhere.
How does one understand how much it costs to run cron jobs?
Where can I see it in the dashboard?
Do I pay only for the cron job runtime?
Docs don't have any info on pricing for cron jobs too.

Hi there,
Railway's pricing includes resource usage (CPU, RAM, etc.) during the execution of cron jobs. So, cron job usage is priced like all other usage on Railway.

Hi sarahkb125,
Thanks for the answer!
My price and estimated price is still 0. Is that because I barely had any workload with this test cron job?
And to double-check, if my service ran for a few minutes only, I will only pay for those few minutes (and for whatever amount of resources it used)?
It does not cost anything to have this service IDLE, right?

That is correct, it is likely it only incurred a tiny bit of usage that rounds down to 0, and you are not charged when it is idle.
