Custom .ca domain stuck on "Validating domain ownership" for hours

Custom domain neverdue.ca has been stuck on "Validating domain ownership"

for several hours with no progress.

DNS records are correctly configured and verified:

- CNAME @ → csnegjc9.up.railway.app (resolves correctly)

- TXT _railway-verify resolves correctly with the exact value Railway provided

I have successfully used Railway with custom domains before (.me TLD) with

no issues. This appears specific to the .ca TLD or a bug on Railway's end

as all DNS lookups return correct results.

dig CNAME neverdue.ca +short → csnegjc9.up.railway.app

dig TXT _railway-verify.neverdue.ca +short → correct railway-verify value

Your DNS records are verified and the CNAME is correctly propagated, but we see a conflicting A record (151.101.2.15) on neverdue.ca alongside the CNAME, and that IP does not belong to us. This conflicting record on the root domain is likely interfering with certificate issuance. Remove the A record for neverdue.ca in your Namecheap DNS settings so only the CNAME remains, and the certificate should proceed.

Hey,

Sorry about that. We have rolled out a fix for this. Your domains should automatically get issued a certificate. If they don't, please remove and re-add the domain.
