i've been trying to verify my ownership over a domain i bought on godaddy. The instructions said to make the name @ but godaddy says i can only make it to www or mail. Can anyone help with this?

TLDR: godaddy doesn't support apex domain cname flattening
You'd have to use cloudflare dns (or any other dns manager that supports that)
worked but now im getting the "Application failed to respond" error which i checked the docs on how to solve and nothing has worked

I use godaddy, and I was able to get custom domain names and custom subdoamin names working.
Can I try and help?
this is all I did on godaddy. But I used a subdomain instead of a www or an @

their domain works fine now, they just need to set up their projects structure properly
