Dear Railway team,
I am extremely confused and would really appreciate some help. I am helping a friend with making a website, he already has made the website on Wix and is hosting it with Wix and has a domain name with crazy domains (Australia).
Now, I want to use the domain name he's already created for the app I've made and have currently deployed using railway.
I have tried using this documentation https://docs.railway.com/guides/public-networking#add-a-custom-domain but I'm still confused as to what to do exactly. Could I be provided with detailed instructions on how to do this? Do I need to switch the name server to Railways name server? Or do I keep Wix's name server. Like literally I don't know which way is up or what I'm doing at all XDD
In fact, if you have a discord and I could have a call with an employee to organise this that would be great because this driving me crazy xDD
Please help me, you're my only hope.
Below is the information from Crazy Domains. I can edit the name servers and A records.
Name Servers
Name Server 1
216.239.32.101
Name Server 2
216.239.34.101
DNS Settings
A Record
103.67.235.120
103.67.235.120

Hello,
Instead of an A record, we give a CNAME record that must be used, unfortunately for you, Wix's nameservers don't support CNAMEs at the root.
This means you will need to use Cloudflare's nameservers, since they do support CNAMEs at the root, you can follow their guide to switch to their nameservers here -
https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/full-setup/setup/
I've gone ahead and removed the domain from your Railway service since you can't set it up on the Railway side yet.
After you have switched your nameservers to Cloudflare, make sure you don't have any records set at the root, and make sure your SSL/TLS mode is set to full.
Once that is done, you can add the domain back to your Railway service and set the root value as the given CNAME.
Best,
Brody

Dear Brody,
I appreciate your prompt response, please forgive me for my delayed one. I believe I have followed your instructions correctly - see the screenshots attached, does that look good to you? When can I expect the changes to be live in Australia?
I have also attached another screenshot from crazydomains which indicates there are still some A records set up there, are they irrelevant now though now that I'm using Cloudflare? or do I need to edit them as well?
Thanks again

Hey Ben,
My response would have been 24 hours but It appears that time has been kind to your problem. I assume the DNS records propagated and your workload is now discoverable on Cloudflare.
May I mark this as solved?
